Remember that little town of Frankenmuth that I loved?
(Don’t remember? Allow me to refresh your memory here.)
Well, I’ve been meaning to talk more about my time there and so this week is dedicated to the little Bavarian town that I adore.
And I think the best place to start with my deeper delve into Frankenmuth is one of my absolute favorite parts: going to Bronner’s Christmas Wonderland — the largest Christmas store in the world!
Operating year-round (closed only 4 days of the year), the huge store is dedicated to all things Christmas. It’s been open since 1945 and operated by the Bronner family since then as well. And it’s so big, they even have a designated meeting point:
Inside the store, there are lots of festive decorations:
And there’s even a place to eat! The store is huge so the little cafe makes for a good break!
Everything in the store is sorted by category: from food-related ornaments to celebrity-themed ornaments to your traditional kinds. Luckily, besides the welcome desk and reception, there are maps and signs to help you find your way around:
And what would a Christmas store be without a gazillion ornaments? Looking through the tens of thousands of ornaments was my favorite part of the Bronner’s Christmas Wonderland experience:
And of course, there were Michigan-themed ornaments, too. Mitten pride!
But that’s not all they had. You could also find the perfect Santa costume there or even ship mail off to the North Pole:
Or make like a sugarplum fairy and choose from a wide assortment of little cute Nutcrackers:
My favorites were the ones I dubbed Kim Kardashian Nutcrackers, haha:
All in all, Bronner’s was so worth a visit and exploring for a little while. There were so many little trinkets to be seen, but little did I know that it would just be the beginning of the charm that is Frankenmuth.
